Evaluation Criteria

Participants are evaluated using a balanced framework that considers both portfolio performance and strategy quality, reflecting professional standards used in asset management and trading.

Performance & Risk Management (40%)

This component aims to assess overall portfolio performance over the competition period, to evaluate returns on a risk-adjusted basis, to measure downside risk and loss control, and to analyze the consistency and stability of results through time. A disciplined and well-controlled strategy may therefore be favored over a higher-risk approach with more volatile outcomes.

Strategy Quality (60%)

This component aims to assess the clarity and economic rationale of the strategy, to evaluate the theoretical or empirical justification of investment decisions, to analyze the rigor of risk management rules and backtesting methodology, and to evaluate robustness across different market conditions. Innovation and originality are also considered in order to reward creative yet coherent approaches.

Rules and Ressources

To ensure fairness and integrity throughout the competition, all participants must comply with the following rules:

  • Each participant is allowed one account only.

  • All trading activity must be conducted exclusively through the Interactive Broker.

  • Any attempt to manipulate results, exploit platform vulnerabilities, or violate the rules will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Participants must respect the competition timeline and submission deadlines.

  • The jury’s decisions are final and binding.
